Poetry Project

What is the Poetry Project?

The goal of the Poetry Project is really up to you. Is it to read more poetry? Blog about more poetry? Discuss poetry? As long as poetry is involved, it can be a part of the Poetry Project.

How can I participate?

By posting about poetry each month, linking to the post via Mr. Linky, and, if you are so inclined, visiting other participants’ posts.

What am I supposed to write about each month?

The topic is really up to you, but we also have some prompts that we will be following each month.

July – Meet and Greet Questionnaire (see below)
August – Poem by a Pulitzer Prize winner
September – A classic poem
October - Halloween poems
November – War rememberance
December – Holiday Poems/Mid-Year Reflection
January – Poems by Christina Rossetti
February – Poems about love, hate or heartbreak
March – A new release poem/book of poetry (2012/2013)
April – What could have made you appreciate poetry more when you were younger? How would you raise a poetry reader?
June – Read a poem from the list that started it all.
July – Shakespearean sonnet

If you aren’t interested in the prompt for a certain month, feel free to post about another topic or poem.
